Tokens are the units AI models use to process text. Roughly 1 token = 0.75 words. A typical flashcard generation uses ~500-1,000 tokens depending on the source text length and model.
Can I still use my own API key?

What happens when I run out of tokens?
You'll see a notification in the plugin. You can either wait for the monthly reset, buy a token top-up ($3 for ~250K extra tokens), or switch to your own API key.
